Just wanted to say thank you for the most awesome 12 day backcountry trip I have ever taken. This is my sixth time to Glacier Bay and my son’s second. We saw more on this one trip than all the other trips combined, although I did see lots on the previous trips as well. We had brown bear encounters, whales breaching, eagles singing, seals pupping, otters playing, and of course the famous White Thunder. Thank you Glacier Bay Sea Kayaks for all that you provided. Without your knowledge and your worthy boats, we could not have traveled as many glorious miles. This was a trip that my son Pete and my best friend Dave and I will never forget. A trip to tell our grandkids about. Thank you Kara! See you next year. — Ron and Pete Bombard and Dave Shaugnessy
On behalf of all of us we would like to thank you for your support on our Glacier Bay kayak trip. Our trip could not have worked out better. All of us had a great time and have locked some great memories into our minds. You guys are real professionals. — Glen White
Just returned from our 8 day paddling trip in the park! We had an awesome trip full of sunshine, bears, whales, seals, sea otters, ducks, eagles, etc. At times, I felt like I was in Africa because I saw so much wildlife. Also, I heard dead silence! So peaceful and quiet there. In the morning, a symphony of birds would sing to us. It was a very healing spiritual experience. — Suzanne Moore, Anchorage, Alaska
Glacier Bay Sea Kayaks is a tremendous resource that will enable you to visit up-close a side of Glacier Bay that you would otherwise only see from afar. I have used them several times for individual rentals and group excursions and I was uniformly pleased with every aspect of their assistance. Their equipment is dependable and well-suited to kayak travel in the bay, whether you are going on a short day-paddle or a multi-week trip. Their personnel are knowledgeable, responsive, and accommodating, even going so far as to help arrange other travel needs. No matter the length of your stay, the level of your experience, the number of your travelers, or the size of your ambition, Glacier Bay Sea Kayaks can make a great trip even better. — Tom Joyce, Winnetka, Illinois.
Glacier Bay again!! In 1989, 1992, and 1994, we were visitors in Glacier Bay. The first time we visited Glacier Bay, we went with the tourboat around the bay, and we saw an amazing amount of ice fall off the glaciers. We also found out that it was possible to kayak in the area and so we did, just for one day, in the bay near the lodge. That tasted for more. We decided that we had to come back for a real long trip, and so we did. Three years later, we went for a big wilderness trip. For 14 days, we were paddling around the bay. This was our first wilderness trip ever. We had a wonderful time. At home, we told some of our friends of our trip, and they got so excited of our stories that they wanted to go, too. We took our friends to Glacier Bay in 1994, and this time we paddled in both arms of the Bay. In 1998, our son was born, and our trips into the wilderness changed a little bit. We made a lot of trips to South Africa and Botswana. Now our son is 11 years old, and now is the time to go back to Alaska and to Glacier Bay. 16 years later, we planned a trip to Glacier Bay again. When we think of Glacier Bay, we have very fine memories of the wilderness, and we want to share this with our son. We are excited to go back to Glacier Bay. We hope our son will have the same feelings as we have after visiting Glacier Bay. When booking our trip for this year, we found out that Kara Berg is still the one that rented the kayaks. All three times we had good experiences with the kayaks and the services of Glacier Bay Sea Kayaks. It made the decision of going to Glacier Bay with our son much easier. We are looking forward to our trip this summer!! — Sylvia Blom, The Netherlands
We are back in San Francisco and we have been running through fond memories from our trip to Glacier Bay last week. We wanted to thank you for being incredibly generous with your time and also dishing out an amazing lunch spread on our day trip. That you took the time to explain what we were seeing around us and your connection with the land around you meant a lot to us, and we wanted to say, thanes! Kayaking in the bay shall be one of the things we will remember. — Janaki, Vijay and Venkat Chittoor – San Francisco
Thanks for the great trip last week. The kayaks worked very well and the scenery and sounds of Glacier Bay are amazing. You were so helpful and made the trip go smoothly for us. We will pass your name on to any others we know who would do a similar trip. — Jay Hales
We want to thank you for the great time we had kayaking in Glacier Bay. We kayaked in Scidmore Inlet and had a wonderful experience and learned quite a bit! We hope to be back next year or the year after and spend another 5 days kayaking. You all have a grand operation and we appreciated all your help and confidence building. See you all soon. Bob and Kathy Walter — Albuquerque.

We booked our entire trip to Alaska through Glacier Bay Sea Kayaks. They helped arrange accommodations before and after our time in the backcountry, boat transportation to the upper bay, gear rentals, etc. It was my first time in a sea kayak, and their orientation put me at ease. Thanks again for all your help in making our trip memorable. — Brian Fuchs, Canada
I just wanted to thank you for a very memorable 6 hour kayak trip. My guide pointed out so many things. I felt like I truly experienced Alaska in a personal way which I would not have experienced otherwise. I always felt that I was secure and safe with my guide. I would recommend your guided kayak trips to anyone and already have to my friends and acquaintances. Thank you for a great day and an exciting adventure! — Suzy Coletti
Just wanted to thank everyone for the great full day kayak trip we took with you guys on August 9th. BJ took very good care of us and it was a memorable day. She did a good job of training us two rookies and making sure we didn’t get into trouble. Showing us people from the lower 48 the wonders of Alaska is much appreciated….keep up the good work. — Jack and Kevin Kopenski, Michigan
I’m just writing to say a very big thank you to all at Glacier Bay Sea Kayaks for all the trouble you went to on our behalf. We are the group of four Europeans who used your kayaks from June 14th until June 29th. Thanks for helping us to plan the trip, making reservations etc. for us, and a big thank you to Katie for our very thorough and comprehensive briefing. Thanks also to the amazing cast of wildlife, including: the black bear at Reid; the numerous grizzlies; the abundant humpbacks; the moose that swam right across the middle of McBride Inlet right next to us; the howling wolves of McBride; the frequent tame bald eagles; the two pairs of killer whales; the sea lions, seals, and porpoise; not forgetting the rufous hummingbirds; and then there were the long-tailed jaegers and ptarmigan; the list goes on and on, but you already know that, of course! — Rick Abbott, England
We just returned from our kayak trip to Glacier Bay and it was another memorable one. This trip was special for me as I was able to show my two boys what Alaska is about. I wanted to say thank you for everything. Please give our special thanks to Katie, she took the time to answer any and all questions we had and did it with her special smile. She was great and it was a pleasure. I hope to see you all again next year. Again, thanks so much for everything! — Ron, Pete and Jacob Bombard, Connecticut
